Four offices spell service
Sugar Pine Realty-Better Homes & Gardens has four offices throughout Tuolumne County to help homeowners market their property, and is the only real estate office in the county authorized to use the Better Homes & Gardens name.
"Better Homes & Gardens is a great name for us," said owner Emmett Brennan, "because it typifies what we do. We represent the home and family."
Emmett started Sugar Pine Realty in a small building in Sugar Pine in 1977. The company franchised with Better Homes & Gardens in 1985.
"It's like having a Fortune 500 partner," Emmett said, "But they never let us forget our commitment to working with one family at a time."
Better Homes & Gardens is selective, Emmett said, and offered him the franchise after doing a study of real estate offices in the area. Emmett's franchise area is "about as big as the state of Delaware," he said.
No other real estate office in that territory has the Better Homes & Garden company support to back them.
The staff at Sugar Pine Realty works with their customers to make their homes as marketable as possible, "so they get the most for their house," Emmett said. A staff of 42 agents works from offices in Sonora, Willow Springs, Sugar Pine and Groveland.
"We have some of the best agents in Tuolumne County working for this company," Emmett said.
In addition to marketing real estate, Sugar Pine Realty also offers high quality mortgage service for clients of the company.
Emmett is an established agent and is a part of the Better Homes & Garden's Broker Hall of Fame in Des Moines, Iowa. Honorees are judged on the quality of their work as well as community service.
The booth at the Home and Garden Show will include videos on how to merchandise and prepare a home for market and a computer marketing system display. Better Homes & Gardens magazines will be given away.
