Sonora Video channels service to customers
Mother Lode Internet, the first Internet provider in Tuolumne County, is still a family-owned-and-operated business that plans to keep its focus on the Mother Lode.
Although Dennis and Brenda Dahlin have incorporated the business, they remain the only stockholders.
CUSTOMER SERVICE is the focus of the staff at Sonora Video and Electronics, Inc. Pictured above are (from left) Marcia Hancock, CFO; Dan Quinton, president; Olga Quinton, accountant and Laura Vanciel, manager.
The staff at Sonora Video and Electronics, Inc., a Radio Shack dealer, are dedicated to fast, friendly, thorough service.
The business was begun in 1981 by the late David Hancock, his wife, Marcia Hancock, Bill Segerstrom and Jack Rucker. Rucker and Segerstrom sold their shares of the business a few years later to the Hancocks, and it became a family business.
Mr. Hancock's son, Dan Quinton, is president of the company.
Sonora Video offers electronics ranging from cellular phone service and Primestar, to a/c jacks and fuses.
The store recently unveiled its Sprint store and offers a full line of Pioneer home and car audio products. It sells cellular phone service through AT&T Wireless Services and pager service through ColCom in Columbia.
The business does full service and repair for any Radio Shack item, in or out of warranty, and service on any name brand product, out of warranty.
The newest product introduced into the store is the Home-Tech in-wall speaker line.
Sonora Video is "becoming service-oriented," said Quinton. "We will research hard to find batteries or parts. If you've got questions, we've got answers."
"If you come in looking for something," said Marcia Hancock, the company chief financial officer, "we will find it for you."
The business also offers home calls for people who need help setting up their equipment.
Their booth at the Home and Garden Show will feature the Home-Tech in-wall speaker system, as well as the new Sprint Communications Center.
A drawing for a complete in-wall speaker system and for a Sprint telephone will be held during the show.
