Propane company puts emphasis on safety
Mother Lode Internet, the first Internet provider in Tuolumne County, is still a family-owned-and-operated business that plans to keep its focus on the Mother Lode.
Although Dennis and Brenda Dahlin have incorporated the business, they remain the only stockholders.
PROVIDING SERVICE throughout the Mother Lode are Craig Bailey; Randy Bishop, assistant manager; Janette Albert and Mark Carter, manager.
Mother Lode Propane in Angels Camp offers competitive propane rates, full customer service, a unique customer referral program and stays up to date on safety.
"Safety is our number one priority," said Mark Carter, manager. "We have monthly safety meetings and (stay updated) on current common codes."
Mother Lode Propane has provided service in the Mother Lode area since 1990 and takes accounts throughout Calaveras and Tuolumne counties, as far up Highway 108 as Long Barn and Groveland on Highway 120.
They offer full residential and commercial service, including tank installation, routed or metered fills, free estimates and they are licensed plumbers for interior and exterior gas lines. They basically do it all.
They have a full-service repair department and a 24-hour emergency service number for routed customers.
They also offer a service performance guarantee to routed customers.
"We'll guarantee you'll have worry-free propane service with no interruption of gas service," said Carter. "If we fail in this, we will give our customer 25 gallons free on their next propane delivery."
They also sell or lease propane tanks and water heaters, and offer a special electric change out program on water heaters to owners of old or new construction homes who wish to convert to propane.
Their customer referral program gives 25 gallons of free propane to any current customer who refers a new customer the them.
"It's a win, win situation," said Randy Bishop, assistant manager.
They also offer discount senior rates and a budget payment program, which lets customers tally one year's propane use and make monthly payments based on that average.
Between the staff members, they have over 75 years of combined experience in the propane business and, said Mark, "We are an energetic, team oriented group."
Craig Bailey, their Tuolumne County representative, and Janette Albert, who covers Calaveras County, will be on hand at the Home and Garden Show to answer questions.
They also will hold a prize drawing for a propane barbecue.
