Church focuses on spirit in home
Steve Souders of Sonora will demonstrate the Host Dry Chemical Carpet Cleaning Process at the Home and Garden Show.
He will also have a display of 1998 Patriot High Performance Cleaning Machines and lots of information.
He said the Patriot cleaning machines are a high technology replacement for modern day vacuum cleaners.
STANDING IN THE SANCTUARY of Heritage Christian Church is Pastor Derrill Roberts.
Heritage Christian Church will focus at the Home and Garden Show on family life and the church as a foundation of family life.
Members will emphasize family life principles as they visit with show goers.
"As I understand it," said Pastor Derrill Roberts, "this is the first time a church has participated in the show. I visited it last year and felt it would be wonderful exposure for the church and the community."
Roberts said Heritage Christian is an independent church that is attempting to restore the pattern of doctrine and practices of the New Testament.
"We have no book but the Bible and no creed but Christ," he said. "We are trying to avoid any man-made opinions or man-made practices which are not rooted in the New Testament."
"That does make us different," he said. "We are different also because we practice Communion every Sunday.
The church is in the Mono Village shopping center. On Sundays, the congregation meets for Bible school at 9:30 a.m. and worship at 10:30 a.m. Bible studies are held at 2 p.m. Wednesdays and 4 p.m. Thursdays.
