Cell phones come of age
Steve Souders of Sonora will demonstrate the Host Dry Chemical Carpet Cleaning Process at the Home and Garden Show.
He will also have a display of 1998 Patriot High Performance Cleaning Machines and lots of information.
He said the Patriot cleaning machines are a high technology replacement for modern day vacuum cleaners.

Golden State Cellular representatives will exhibit the latest in cellular telephones, pagers and accessories at the Home and Garden Show.
The company has retail outlets in the Timberhills shopping center in Sonora, Angels Towne center in Angels Camp and Jackson Creek center in Jackson.
It has 16 agents serving Tuolumne, Calaveras, Mariposa, Alpine and Amador counties plus more staff members that provide administration, engineering, customer service and billing.
It is owned by Sierra Telephone in Madera, Calaveras Telephone in Copperopolis, Volcano Telephone in Pine Grove and the national General Telephone and Electronics Company (GTE).
"Our market is local customers in our rural area, so we focus all of our energy on this area," said Charlotte Hague. "We feel we excel in customer service and coverage."
Hague said the company has a new roaming rate across North America, in addition to regular long-distance telephone rates.
Another new feature is an expanded home rate area. It has always included the Modesto, Stockton and Sacramento areas to Tahoe City, in addition to the five original foothill counties. Now it also includes El Dorado, Mono, Madera, Merced and San Benito counties.
Statewide paging is another service offered by Golden State.
The company has about 30 cell sites.
"Since we own and operate out own switch and billing system," said Hague, "we can respond more quickly to the needs of our customers."
She said the switch allows the company to offer detailed billing in .06-second increments.
"Most companies round their billing to the next highest minute," she said. "Over a month that adds up to a lot of minutes."
And by doing their own billing, she said, they can offer a number of custom rate plans.
"In addition to providing the best in equipment and systems," she said, "we try to exceed our customers' expectations when it comes to service."
