Retaining walls can interlock
Steve Souders of Sonora will demonstrate the Host Dry Chemical Carpet Cleaning Process at the Home and Garden Show.
He will also have a display of 1998 Patriot High Performance Cleaning Machines and lots of information.
He said the Patriot cleaning machines are a high technology replacement for modern day vacuum cleaners.
Crystalite Block, a Galt-based manufacturer of block products, will offer a video presentation and information on their systems at the Home and Garden Show.
Crystalite Block is a licensed producer of Allan Block and Rockwood Classic Retaining Walls.
Bill Braun, a salesman for Crystalite, said its product is worth seeing for all home owners.
"Most homeowners are beginning to find out that wood retaining walls have a relatively short life span," said Braun. "If either of our systems is installed properly, it is permanent."
Allan Block and Rockwood Classic are mortarless interlocking systems that do not require a concrete footing.
"They are not difficult to install," said Braun, "as long as the basic installation instructions are followed."
Tuolumne County dealers of the block are A&L Ready-Mix and C&W Supply, both in Sonora. Help planning a retaining wall is offered through the dealers.
Representatives for Crystalite Block will answer questions at the Home and Garden Show.
