Water treatment based in a home
Pat Toepel treats residential and commercial water, and that's all he does.
"I don't sell stoves or spas or awnings," he said. "This is all I do, and I do it well."
He operates Clearwater Revival from his home, serving Tuolumne, Calaveras and Mariposa counties.
"I have very low overhead so I can keep the prices low," he said.
He treats water for iron, hardness, taste, odor or any other problem. Depending on what's wrong with the water, he comes up with a system to solve the problem, using whole-house treatment or point of use treatment. He also treats ditch water.
He tests water for free, then recommends a system. He also carries parts with him to repair or expand existing systems.
He has a contractor's license and is also a state-licensed water treatment plant operator. He operates Big Hill Water Treatment Plant in addition to his own business.
Toepel and his wife Kathi have two daughters, Tammy, 23, and Sandra, 18. They also have a 14-month-old grandson, Taymen.
At the Home and Garden Show, Toepel will display his wares, offer free water testing, make appointments for free site inspections and answer questions.
