Roofer now a partner
Mother Lode Internet, the first Internet provider in Tuolumne County, is still a family-owned-and-operated business that plans to keep its focus on the Mother Lode.
Although Dennis and Brenda Dahlin have incorporated the business, they remain the only stockholders.

Don Robinson of Robinson Roofing has teamed up with Paul McMahon and Jeff Sargo of the Home Improvements Co.
"After five years of reputation building through quality work, superior service and guaranteed performance," said Sargo, "Robinson Roofing has taken the next step towards becoming the dominant roofing firm in the area.
"This new structure provides the resources and foundation the company needs to continue to grow and at the same time provide the quality personal service Don has always excelled in."
Robinson said a roofer's survival in business depends on his reputation.
"We've always done everything possible to satisfy our customers and keep that good reputation," he said. "Without word of mouth referrals that come from satisfied customers, we would never have been able to grow the way we have."
Robinson's crew has been busy this year making homes and businesses water tight.
"We've been doing a lot of emergency repairs and covering of leaking roofs with tarps this year with all the rain," he said. "With everything you own under your roof and at risk of water damage, when you discover a leak, you need it stopped right away. We are just a telephone call away with temporary protection, and as soon as the weather breaks, we'll come back and do the permanent work."
Composition roofing, torch down roofing, tile roofs and metal roofs are all within his crew's scope of work.
"Now, with access to a custom fabrication sheetmetal shop," Robinson said, "we are the only local roofing company that can provide you with an in-house professional metal roofing installation."
Metal roofs aren't like other types of roof, he said.
"To do a really quality job," he said, "you almost always need some custom flashings made to finish it off professionally. We can now provide that professional installation at a reasonable cost."
The company has relocated to 108 Stockton Road next to Save Mart.
