Robert Bell of Bell Heating & Air Conditioning offers residential and commercial installations, maintenance and repairs for all kinds of heating, ventilation and cooling systems, including swamp coolers and propane furnaces.
Because all office functions are done from home, Bell said, his low overhead allows him to operate at a lower cost to the customer, giving quality work at competitive prices.
His mother, Marilyn "Ma" Bell, is the office manager for the business.
And he said people don't have to give up quality for cost. He is a licensed contractor and has been in business for himself for more than four years.
He studied the subject in college and received more training in the Army before before starting his own company. He also worked for two of the largest heating, ventilation and air conditioning companies in California.
He was part of the work force on the Mervyn's store in the Crossroads shopping center, and he services systems for several commercial centers in addition to residential customers.
At the Home and Garden Show, they will have many small giveaways and will have a prize drawing for one Newtron permanent air filter, a $100 value.
